Humble beginnings
Precision Landscape & Tree had humble beginnings. What started out as just a couple of guys and a pickup truck, they were able to grow their business to a 10-person operation in a short period of time. But while the business flourished, they had no online presence.

Precision used to rely on directories and mailers to connect with homeowners. Over time, that market died off. Precision needed to adapt. Hoist sprung into action and started by creating a modern website that could serve as their digital front door.
The website gets noticed at Microsoft
Ryan, founder of Hoist, spoke at the Microsoft NERD center in 2014. The topic was how to reach your audience through mobile and responsive design. At one point in the session, someone asked "How much did that design cost? $40,000?" Not quite. Needless to say, the audience loved seeing how responsive design could make the web experience easy for consumers.
Precision was a shining example that the people at Microsoft loved.

With an awesome website at their disposal, it was time to drive homeowners to it. Hoist embarked on a very diverse marketing campaign. Through content marketing, many social media campaigns, conversion optimization, review management, paid advertising and even more, Hoist delivered highly qualified leads to Precision, all through their website.

Over the course of time, we noticed that some of the content went viral. Tens of thousands of people were visiting the viral content. We decided to analyze the data and see how we can make something that's viral, even better. The net result: an increase in business for Precision Landscape & Tree.
